Rugby World Cup Stadium Guide: Stade De Nice

Rugby World Cup Stadium Guide: Stade De Nice

STADE DE NICE, NICE

Allianz inauguration.jpg

How to get there:

The city of Nice has an airport not too far from the centre and is well connected thanks to

three different tram lines. You can make your way from the airport to the stadium in just 25

minutes on the L3 tram.

Where the rugby’s happening:

The rugby is taking place at what’s known as the Stade de Nice, a stadium inaugurated in

2013 and mostly used to host football club OGC Nice’s games. It will host four RWC 2023

games and has only ever hosted one international rugby game.

Where to get some beers:

For something slightly different on the Côte d’Azur, you can grab a drink at the Café du

Cycliste, quite a hip café full of bike racks and 3D maps of the scenic Riviera. You can also

hire a bike to go and visit some places around Nice if you fancy a trip out of town.

What to visit whilst I’m there:

If you want a few things to do during your time in Nice you can get yourself a three-

dimensional keyring of yourself made at Le Comptoir de l’Imaginaire in a first in the country

3D café. You can create an image on the computers and then transform it into a 3D model.
