WRS Plastic M6 Studs
If you are looking to increase the versatility of your soft ground boots and potentially avoid needing two pairs (one soft ground and one firm ground) you need plastic studs.
The plastic material absorbs impact better than more unforgiving metal studs and the shorter lengths mean you won't skate on the surface of a firm natural pitch. They also have the benefit of being legal for artificial grass/turf pitches so you won't be surprised on game day!
While both stud lengths will work well on either natural or artificial surfaces, we generally recommend 8mm for use on firm/hard ground natural surfaces. These fields tend to be more "baked" and penetrating the surface is much harder. Longer studs actually have less traction in these situations. So the shorter length plastic will absorb force well and provide the right amount of length for maximum traction.
For artificial surfaces, we generally recommend 11mm plastic studs. These fields are easy to penetrate so this slightly longer stud will give maximum traction without any downsides. Traditional metal is usually banned on these surfaces and longer lengths are not needed anyways so this is an ideal option here.
M6 refers to the thickness of the screw portion of the stud. The M6 is slightly thicker than the more traditional M5 and is often used on more modern "backs" boots.
Each kit comes with (15) total studs in your selected size along with a stud wrench. This will let you fully replace both boots and still have (3) spare studs as needed.
